Does anyone have advise on which full length practice exams I must take before I take the actual MCAT?

WAMC/School List: 3.7 cGPA/3.6 sGPA/515 MCAT
Hi everyone! I’m looking for advice on which schools to apply to in this cycle. I qualify as Disadvantaged on AMCAS and have FAP so I am able to apply to 20 schools. I’ve left off the Philly schools for personal reasons but am open to any other suggestions for my school list.
WAMC/School List: 3.7 cGPA/3.6 sGPA/515 MCAT
- cGPA: 3.7, sGPA: 3.6
- For additional context, I had a really rough first 3 semesters of undergrad which included loss of income for my family, a parent’s cancer diagnosis, and 2 hospitalizations for...

Question on enzymes involved in cellular respiration
To what extent should we memorize all the enzymes involved in the Krebs, glycolysis, glucogenesis, pyruvate decarboxylation, pentose phosphate pathway, and electron transport chain? It is just a lot of enzyme names that I have to memorize and am not sure if I should invest time in memorizing them if it is not required.

RANT HERE thread
ok, so i've decided to start a thread to simply vent about anything and everything. I have steam coming out of my ears right now
and need to vent...so I will start.
Ok, so I gave my company over a YEAR's notice i was leaving (deferred vet school) and now it's biting me in my rear. Let me see if i understand this...my boss hires his two sons 3 years ago, makes them part owners and pays them ridiculous salaries in a business they are clueless about. I started the company from ground...

Questions About The Pathways To Practice Medicine In Australia As An American
Hello! I will be starting college in the fall, studying exercise science and biology on a pre-med track. Currently, I am a surgical intern with a specialty orthopedic group, and I plan to continue this during college. I ultimately would like to practice medicine in Australia (I'm American). I have several questions regarding the path to this and am hoping for some insight. I've already discovered that it is relatively hard for IMG's to practice in Australia. That being said, I plan to...

Emotional response to George Floyd's death and a parallel process
No words mentioned about George Floyd since his death at my site. As the only minority member in my current cohort, I forwarded the email Statement on George Floyd that I had received from an institution not affiliated with my workplace to my supervisors and peers. In the email, I stated that after finishing a therapy session with a minority client, I realized the increased anxiety due to the current political climate that I could relate to and felt the need to share the email. The forwarded...

Why Do Podiatry Associates Leave?

Why Do Podiatry Associates Leave?
In the past months, I have heard of many associates being fired, leaving their jobs for new ones or expressing general unhappiness about their work issues. This concerns me, not only because I am an associate but because it speaks to a common problem many practice owners experience.
I may have laughed a bit too hard reading this. The answer to all of these scenarios is - the associate isn't being paid.
I get. She was asked to write an article. But its like a focus group gathered around to talk and the only rule was don't talk about the main issue more than once. There is no world where any of the other things are happening - and the associate is being paid. Talking down to...

LECOM - Laptop
Hello everyone,
I am going to be attending LECOM starting in 2021 and am looking at getting a new laptop. On LECOM's website, they recommend a windows based computer but I greatly prefer Mac. With that said, does anybody know anything about using a Mac at LECOM? Is it a bad idea?
Thanks!

my success story starting with low stats
TLDR
I got accepted to a dental school with:
Undergrad GPA: 2.9
Undergrad sGPA: 2.3
Graduate: 3.5
DAT: 20AA/19TS (17 in Bio)
---------------------------------------------------
Hello all! I want to just post my journey into dental school and for those with low GPAs, maybe it’ll help you a bit.
I wanted to become a dentist since I was a kid or maybe I brainwashed myself into thinking that (my grandfather was a dentist). And as a kid, I thought of careers as shopping where you...

Just finished Freshman Year, Need Advice Going Forward
Hello SDN, this is my first post and I know questions similar to this have been asked before but I wanted specific advice on my situation.
For context, I finished freshman year with a 3.949 cGPA and 4.0 sGPA, but I took some courses P/F. I created a research proposal with my research group this past year for research next semester on viral replication that was approved by my university. I wasn’t too involved with EC’s or volunteering but I plan to get more involved this upcoming year as well...

Applicants/Students/Residents married and/or Kids - Support and Advice thread
So, it has been a while since I have made a support thread. I noticed that there is a very large number of applicants here on SDN that are either married, have kids, or both but there is not a central location for us to gather information on what it is like to be a premed, med student or resident with a family. I figured I could start that and hope that others are able to contribute (Any medical students, residents, or attendings that have been through this.....come one come all, help us...

What have you noticed your customers/patients like to ask you?
Really tired of covid and job-related posts but also genuinely curious here...what kinds of questions do you all get from your customers/patients depending on what part of the region/state/country or world you work/live in?
Eg I work in the upper Midwest and we get a ton of questions related to the change of seasons and corresponding ailments such as best cough and cold meds, which humidifier (warm or cool mist), allergy symptom meds... A lot of 'fair' people here too so a lot of questions...

DRG and how surgical specialties get paid?
Reimbursement question:
If hospital is reimbursed with a DRG for an admission...say PNA...but pt has metastatic cancer (for example) and Also needs an internal fixation/prophylactic femur nailing.
How does the private practice orthopedic doctor get paid?
Same question goes for inpatient radiation. If hospital is simply given a DRG lump sum...how is a private practice professional fee doctor reimbursed off this?

Emergency Medicine Rotation and Studying Advice
Hello,
I have two separate questions that I need some advice on.
1. I am starting my intern year with ED rotation, I won't have a senior resident with me. Any Advice?
2. How do residents successfully study during residency? Do you go home and do U World questions, read chapters, skim over Uptodate or keep a study schedule.

School list/worth reapplying?
cGPA: 3.75 sGPA: 3.61 MCAT: 516
Last round my main issues I think I had was applying to little, too top heavy, and having pretty abysmal clinical experiences (little late to the party to realize this now lol). I was pretty stupid and figured that majoring in chemical engineering would've given a larger bump to my app, and because my sGPA tanked because of a C+ in a biochem class I took over the summer. Also finding out engineering classes don't count towards sGPA until after I applied...
